Distilled in 2008 and matured for 15 years, this Micro Provenance expression is drawn from a single Syrah wine cask. The cask has enriched the spirit with colour, depth, and layered complexity, while preserving the distillery’s hallmark coastal freshness and barley-led character. The palate is smooth and structured, revealing ripe red and black fruit, gentle tannins, and a touch of oak sweetness.

Nose

An alluring coastal nose of sun-warmed red and black fruit—raspberry, blackberry and plum—enriched by wine-soaked sweetness from the Syrah cask. Hints of vanilla and toasted oak mingle with a whisper of brine and barley sweetness, while peppery spice and cocoa add depth, unveiling the spirit’s refined seaside character.

(brook-LADDIE) Bruichladdich distillery is the home of four different malts: the unpeated Bruichladdich, the heavily peated Port Charlotte, the even more peated (and rarely seen) Lochindaal and the super heavily peated Octomore. The distillery was built in 1881 by the Harvey Brothers and at the time it was viewed as a very modern establishment.  It is situated in The Rhinns, in the west of the island, overlooking Loch Indaal. It ran under a succession of different owners including Whyte and Mackay and Murray McDavid before being purchased by Remy Cointreau in 2012.
