Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich golden amber with honeyed warmth and a subtle copper glow.
Nose
Creamy vanilla, barley sweetness, and toffee from first-fill bourbon greet the nose. Red-fruit depth from the French wine casks—blackberry, cherry, plum—lends cedar spice and a hint of cocoa, braided with a delicate maritime breeze.
Palate
Silky, creamy on the palate with a velvety mouthfeel. Vanilla and light oak from first-fill Bourbon weave through orchard notes—pear, citrus zest—while dark berries and plum from the wine casks lend depth. Subtle cocoa, toasted spice (nutmeg, clove), and a refined finish that lingers with oak, warmth, and a wine-soft sweetness.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with vanilla warmth and creamy oak from the Bourbon casks, giving way to red-fruit and cassis from the French wine casks. Subtle spice—clove, white pepper—lingers alongside cocoa and dried fruit, creating a refined, lingering, wine-kissed finale.
