Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with a warm honey glow and hints of copper, deepening to mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Bright, unpeated Islay barley aroma, a pristine grain richness with vanilla custard, fresh orchard fruit and toasted almond. Hints of honey and citrus, joined by soft oak spice, and a whisper of sea air that tames the sweetness into a balanced, clean bouquet.
Palate
Silky, mouth-coating with orchard-fruit sweetness—pear and yellow apple—woven through honeyed barley and a touch of vanilla. Gentle citrus zest and toasted almond lift the mid-palate, while a light maritime salt and mineral spine nods to Islay without peat. Warm, creamy texture from the 50% ABV, finishing with clean grip and a subtle coastal echo.
Finish
Long, refined finish with a bright maritime lift; vanilla and orchard fruit give way to almond and a hint of sherry spice, leaving a clean oak echo and a gentle salt-kissed aftertaste.
