Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a hint of garnet from the port finish.
Nose
Ripe red fruits - cherry, raspberry and plum - lead the nose, touched by port sweetness. Vanilla and almond from warm oak mingle with a whisper of cocoa and a gentle spice, finishing with a velvety, sherried depth.
Palate
Silky, medium-full on the palate, port finish delivering lush red fruit—ripe cherry, plum and cranberry—interwoven with raisin sweetness. Ginger and clove spice blend with toasted oak, while cocoa nibs add a touch of bitterness. The texture is velvety, buoyed by bright acidity. A long, elegant finish of fruit, spice and chocolate lingers.
Finish
Long, velvety finish with red berry cordial, dark chocolate and silky oak. Port cask influence leaves a gentle sweetness that blooms into raisin, fig and spice, lingering with soft tannins and a warm, resinous fade that invites another sip.
