Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with honey-gold depth and warm copper undertones, edged by a refined mahogany hue.
Nose
Powerful yet refined, the nose unfurls with coastal peat smoke, brine and iodine, lifted by vanilla and honeyed toffee from decades in bourbon wood. There’s warm oak, subtle citrus zest, waxy polish and a whisper of burnt sugar, all riding a sea-salted line that speaks of Bowmore’s Islay terroir and 37 years of quiet age.
Palate
Silky and voluminous, the palate opens with coastal peat and smoky minerals, balanced by vanilla, toffee and honeyed citrus. It layers dried fruit with a subtle sherried sweetness, coating the tongue in velvety warmth. Maritime salt and iodine emerge alongside a refined spice, guiding a long, smoke-kissed finish that lingers with cinnamon warmth and delicate sweetness.
Finish
Long, serene finish with Bowmore’s maritime peat pairing seamlessly with creamy vanilla and toasted oak. Subtle citrus hints rise, then a warm smoke and mineral salt linger, slowly fading into a refined, enduring warmth.
