Often referred to as one of the finest single malt Whiskies ever distilled making this truly a living legend amongst malts, and offering a taste which may never be repeated again. This version of Black Bowmore was released a mere 12 years after the previous bottlings, but is still from exactly the same batch of casks except this time under half the number of bottles were released.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Jet-black and intensely deep, nearly opaque, with a subtle mahogany edge catching the light.
Nose
An opulent maritime peat smoke opens to rich sherry sweetness, dark chocolate, coffee bean and fig, with orange zest and raisin. Iodine and sea-salt mingle with old oak and leather, while a whisper of burnt sugar and molasses lingers on the finish.
Palate
Silky, opulent and full-bodied, this Bowmore blends peat smoke with decadent sherry sweetness. Dried fig and prune mingle with cocoa, toffee and sea-salt notes, while a velvety, oil-rich mouthfeel coats the tongue and leads to a long, resinous finish of smoke, espresso and leather.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with peat smoke lingering like a curling sea breeze, carried on a velvet thread of sherry sweetness. Dark chocolate, fig and a touch of orange peel unfold slowly, while tobacco and oak spice deepen the finale. A refined, persistent warmth closes the journey, echoing Bowmore's legendary balance of smoke and sweetness.
