Son to Scottish whisky maker and entrepreneur James Cree and the legendary John Crabbie’s eldest daughter, Agnes, whisky runs deep in the story of Johnny Cree.

This Single Malt Scotch Whisky from Bonnington Distillery is adorned with sweet malty notes, aged in 75% Bourbon barrels, 15% Virgin American Oak and 10% Red Wine casks.

Colour

Radiant golden amber, sun-kissed with honey and a whisper of copper.

Nose

Rich honey and caramel rise from the glass, mingling with warm malt. A soft vanilla-tinged oak whispers spice, inviting a luscious, comforting aroma.

Palate

Sweet, ripe red fruits unfold with oak, spice, and a gentle, creamy sweetness that coats the palate.

Finish

A long, elegant finish where oak and tannins linger, slowly fading into delicate floral notes.

Bonnington
(BON-ing-tun) Bonnington was commissioned in 2019 and began production in March 2020 on Graham Street in Leith, close to the historic John Crabbie & Co. whisky business. It was the first single malt distillery in Leith for nearly 100 years, bringing whisky production back to an area once strongly associated with bonded warehouses, blending and export. During construction, archaeological remains linked to old fortifications and Bonnington House were uncovered beneath the site, later inspiring the distillery’s citadel-style icon.
