Bladnoch Sherry Matured Single Malt Whisky 6 Year Old
Out of stock
An Ex- Sherry cask matured 6 year old Bladnoch released under the old ownership of this now up and running again Lowland distillery.
Originally bottled in 2008 as part of a trilogy of 8 year olds and the first new whisky released after the take over by Raymond Armstrong in 2000.
Comments: Like the bourbon matured dram this lacks a bit of balance, just because of its youth I think, but it has some wonderful sensations along the way and there are moments of greatness. I could play with this for ages.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold, warmed with coppery hues and a touch of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
The gristy malt wrestles with itself, its aroma busy with mixed peel that twists and never fully settles. A whisper of light chocolate and Fino sherry threads through, hinting at the bold sherried character to come.
Palate
Zesty from the first sip, it delivers a fruit-and-nut chocolate profile with a glossy cream sherry kiss, a fleeting spark of Space Dust on the palate, and a warm, chocolatey coating that lingers.
Finish
Space Dust fizz eases away to leave a warm, rich chocolate coating on the tongue that lingers, indulgent and refined. Delicious.
