Matured in Oloroso casks for a warm, sweet flavour. Blended from a selection of Bladnoch matured in ex Oloroso Sherry butts – including both Spanish and American Oak for a minimum of 15 years and including a number of first fill butts for a richness and depth of flavour.
Crafted using only pristine water from the River Bladnoch and locally grown barley.
Adela”, meaning ‘noble’, signifies the richness and depth of flavour for our 15 year old malt.
Non-chill filtered. Natural colour. ABV: 46.7% Proof: 93.4%.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with copper-gold glow and tawny mahogany edges.
Nose
Lovely rich Oloroso cherry aromas mingle with raisins, a whiff of walnuts, toffee pudding and a hint of chocolate.
Palate
Silky and voluptuous, the palate reveals lush sherry sweetness riding a core of rich dark chocolate and coffee. Dried black fruits lend depth, while whispers of liquorice and pepper add a subtle, warming spice that lingers into a long, nutty finish.
Finish
A long, rich, nutty finish that warms from within, softly coating the palate with toasted almond and hazelnut, a hint of spice and cocoa, gradually fading into dried fruit.
