Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery mahogany hues and a warm ruby glow.
Nose
Ripe red fruits—plum, cherry and fig—rise with port-driven sweetness, mingling with raisins and candied fruit. Hints of dark chocolate and toffee deepen the aroma, while cinnamon and clove weave through polished oak. A luxurious, layered nose that suggests leather and liquorice, inviting a slow, contemplative inhale.
Palate
Opulent and velvety on the palate, port-darkened fruit: ripe cherry, fig and raisin, supported by a rich plum core. Honeyed malt, caramel and cocoa weave through the sweetness, while oak spice lingers. A bold, oily texture from the 52.9% ABV coats the mouth, finishing long with subtle tannins and sherry-like depth.
Finish
An elongated, warm finish of port-sweetness and dark fruit—plum, raisin and fig—woven with spice and a kiss of oak. Velvet and refined, it lingers with a dessert-like richness, echoing the single-cask’s depth and the cask’s fortified influence.
