Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights, edged by a hint of rich mahogany.
Nose
Sherry-cask richness floods the nose, with dark fruits—raisin, fig, prune—woven with cocoa, toffee and orange zest. Spices unfold: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, while oak and leather lend a polished backbone. A subtle vanilla glow and a patient, aged sweetness promise depth, elegance, and the reserve of a 27-year single cask.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, this 27-year-old pours with a velvet sherried depth. Rich notes of raisin, fig and dark chocolate mingle with espresso and toasted oak, while cinnamon and clove add spice. Candied orange peel and a touch of tobacco thread through the mid-palate, finishing long with warm, integrated alcohol and a silky, lingering sweetness.
Finish
Silky, long finish drapes the palate in sherry warmth, with dried fig and raisin, orange peel and cocoa evolving into subtle toffee. Cinnamon and clove whisper through the middle, while polished oak lingers, leaving a warm, refined echo that invites another sip.
