Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Orange blossom honey opens the nose, unfolding with breakfast pancakes and syrup, flapjacks, rhubarb and custard. Honeycomb and butterscotch mingle with tunnocks toffee wafers, while charred vanillin oak and apricot glaze lend depth, complemented by Danish pastries and mango for a lush, irresistible aroma.
Palate
Hot butterscotch and fudge sauce over caramelised peaches and apricots, with marzipan and stewed rhubarb, vanilla custard. French toast and mango salsa weave through, finished with crème brûlée tops for a lush, indulgent sweetness.
Finish
A long, luscious finish of fat barley and sweet spice, spiraling with caramelised brown sugars and honeycomb, brushed with butterscotch. Ripe peach, mango and apricot unfurl, balanced by marzipan, before a final kiss of golden syrup sponge and creamy custard.
