Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, natural amber with a warm copper-gold glow and a hint of mahogany at the rim.
Nose
Smoky peat threads through a refined Speyside aroma: maritime brine, honeyed grains, and soft vanilla. Raisin and fig mingle with cocoa from sherry-cask maturation, while polished oak and a whisper of spice add elegance. A long, balanced bouquet hints at decades of maturation.
Palate
Silky and full-bodied, this peated Speyside carries refined smoke woven with sherry-dark fruit. Peat, dark chocolate, fig and treacle mingle with orange caramel, while nuanced spice and toasted oak lend elegance. A creamy, oily mouthfeel coats the palate, finishing long with ember-peat, espresso, and raisin.
Finish
Long and enveloping, the finish lingers with refined peat smoke carried by sherry notes. Dark chocolate and dried fruit melt into toasted oak, with wisps of spice and orange zest, finishing in a warm, resinous fade that invites another mindful sip.
