This limited release Albariza has been peated and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks.
The word Albariza comes from the white soil with high chalk content in the Andalucia region in the south of Spain. This chalky white soil is perfect for growing grapes used in sherry production.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with mahogany edges and warm honey-gold highlights, a radiant, glassy glow that hints at sherry richness.
Nose
A smoky, festive bouquet: mince pies, sweet cured meats, and sun-kissed dates, raisins and figs cloaked in smoked dark honey. Earthy chocolate and antique leather mingle with rich sherry oak, while deeply aromatic smoked nuts and spices finish with a warming, resinous glow.
Palate
Dark figs, prunes and raisins ride coal-fire smoke with cured meats and white pepper; sticky ginger cake, rum-soaked raisin fudge, dark treacle and sooty vanilla entwine with smoked walnut whips.
Finish
Rum-soaked raisins wrapped in cured meat, smoked over earthy chocolate-vanilla wood chips. The finish is dark and chewy, richly sweet with sherry-saturated smoke, lingering like embers of Christmas. A true Benriach signature.
