A limited release 17 year old Balvenie finished in Jamaican Rum casks but this time less than 2,000 bottles were produced. This is the successor to the successful 14 year old Rum Wood expression and is pretty fantastic in our view.

Nose
Opulent aromas of brown sugar and soft honey, spun with ginger spice. Tropical notes of pineapple and mango rise alongside creamy fudge and vanilla caramel, all carried on a rum‑soaked oak backdrop. A bright, beach‑framed sweetness with youthful energy.
Palate
Brown sugar and soft honeyed notes coat the palate, lifted by ginger spice. Tropical fruits surface, followed by creamy fudge, delivering a rounded, silky texture with a youthful energy and a warm, lingering sweetness.
Finish
Long and warm, the finish lingers with brown sugar and honeyed sweetness, edged by ginger spice. Subtle tropical fruit notes emerge, giving way to a creamy fudge core, all carried on a soft rum-cask glow. A coastal, sunlit finish that stays balanced and inviting.
