Nose

Fresh citrus zest and orchard fruits rise with a delicate sweetness—vanilla, honey and soft toffee—lifted by gently toasted oak. Subtle almond and a whisper of spice knit with a faint maltiness, weaving a clean, bright aroma that speaks of understated elegance.

Palate

Bright citrus, green apple and pear mingle with a veil of honeyed sweetness. Vanilla and soft oak spice unfold smoothly, while almond notes and a whisper of white pepper add depth. A light, creamy mid-palate leads to a clean, citrusy finish that lingers with freshness.

Finish

Delicate, lingering finish with citrus zest and green apple, caressed by vanilla and light oak. A soft malt sweetness remains, folding into a quiet spice that warms the palate and fades gracefully.

Balblair
(bal-BLAIR) Balblair was founded in 1790 by John Ross at Edderton in the Northern Highlands, overlooking the Dornoch Firth. The distillery remained with the Ross family through much of the 19th century, before being rebuilt in 1894 closer to the railway while continuing to use water from the Allt Dearg burn. Later owners included Hiram Walker, and Inver House Distillers acquired Balblair in 1996.
