The second release of the Bothy limited to again just 12,000 bottles is a touch lighter in ABV but the extra bit of time in cask from the first release has given this more white stone fruit than green notes and more complexity and has also been going down a storm on one of our tasting masterclass courses in which this features.
A classic example of double Ex-Bourbon cask aged malt (Standard 200 litre & smaller 50 litre Quarter casks used here) and again packs a punch for a whisky less than 10 years old. Roll on batch 3!

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright pale gold with a warm straw glow.
Nose
Meringue and caramel mingle with vanilla custard, while white chocolate, nougat, sugared almonds, and marzipan thread through ripe mango and peach.
Palate
Mango salsa, spicy white chocolate bonbons, sugared almonds and white icing mingle with vanilla-dusted pineapple on a hot griddle, finishing with sherbet dip.
Finish
Fizzy and spicy, the finish releases sweet white stone fruit and pineapple, hints of melon and ginger, and a lingering swirl of meringue and coconut.
