Arran Machrie Moor Batch #2 - Peated Lochranza Single Malt Scotch Whisky 10 Year Old
Out of stock
On the west coast of the Isle lake Arran lies a windswept and mystical peat bog called Machrie Moor. Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones are strewn across its barren, undulating terrain. This 10 Year Old peated expression of The Arran Single Malt perfectly captures the rugged beauty of the landscape.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-bronze highlights and a warm mahogany glow.
Nose
Inviting peat smoke swirls with medicinal iodine and coastal brine, sharpened by a breath of sea air. Beneath, a syrupy hint of sherry sweetness coats dried fruits, cocoa and warm vanilla, while char and ash lend an earthy, smoky backbone evoking a windswept Moors landscape.
Palate
Bold peat smoke coats the palate, sharpened by mineral coastal brine and sea spray. A mid-palate of honeyed barley, dark chocolate and dried fruit unfolds, with hints of leather and spice. The finish is long and savoury, ash and salt lingering into velvety oak and a whisper of vanilla.
Finish
Long and smoky, the finish carries peat, sea spray, and ash, slowly coaxed into sweetness from sherry. Dried fruit, cocoa and spice linger, leaving a velvety, resinous warmth that echoes the rugged shores of Machrie Moor.
