Tasting Notes

Nose

Aromas of crisp red apples and pear mingle with honeyed vanilla and a lifted citrus zest. Subtle sherry sweetness threads through with raisins and dried apricot, while toasted almond, faint cocoa, and soft spice linger in the background. Fresh oak and malt frame the bouquet, inviting a refined, Speyside warmth.

Palate

Velvety and full-bodied, this Aberlour 10-year-old coats the palate with rich sherried sweetness—figs and raisins, toasted toffee and dark chocolate, and bright orange zest. Subtle spice—nutmeg and cinnamon—rises with soft oak, finishing long and warmly.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
