Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a touch of mahogany.

Nose

Opulent sherry-driven aroma of dark raisin, fig, and orange zest, with velvety toffee. Toasted oak, cocoa and vanilla mingle with gentle spice—cinnamon and nutmeg—creating a warm, dessert-like bouquet that hints at refinement and age.

Palate

Velvety and richly sherried, this Aberlour coats the mouth with raisin and fig sweetness, bolstered by orange zest and dark chocolate. Praline and toffee mingle with warming spice—cinnamon, clove—while brushed oak and a whisper of nutmeg linger into a long, creamy finish.

Finish

Long, luxurious finish with rich sherry sweetness that lingers behind velvety dark chocolate and dried fruit. Subtle orange zest and toasted almond emerge, guided by gentle spice and oak, fading to a warm ember of cinnamon and caramel.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
