Colour

Golden amber with a warm honey glow and subtle copper highlights.

Nose

Rich sherry-driven aroma with toffee and dark chocolate at the core, layered with dried fruits and orchard notes of apple and pear, punctuated by orange zest. A touch of spice and almond, and a whisper of warm oak complete the inviting, velvety nose.

Palate

Silken and fruit-forward on the palate, with creamy malt, orchard sweetness and hints of citrus zest. Rich toffee and dark chocolate mingle with toasted almond, while gentle spice and sherry-cask warmth lift the finish into a refined, lingering glow.

Finish

Long, velvet finish with honeyed toffee, dried fruit and orange zest, lifted by gentle spice and warm sherry notes; a soft, oaken warmth lingers gracefully.

(aber-LOW-er) Right in the centre of Aberlour village next to the banks of the Lour Burn the Aberlour distillery sits. In Gaelic Aberlour means “Mouth of the chattering burn”. Sadly in 1898 most of the Aberlour distillery was destroyed by a fire, however this led to the distillery being rebuilt and improvements made in the 1920s, after the second World War, the 1960s and also during the 1970s.
