Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep amber with copper-gold hues and a subtle ruby-red glow.

Nose

Honeyed sweetness and a vibrant red fruit bouquet: ripe cherries, plums and figs with orange zest. Subtle clove spice winds through soft vanilla, carried by a wine-led perfume from Sangiovese casks, whispering sun-warmed oak and refined elegance.

Palate

Ripe cherries, red plums and figs unfold across the palate, framed by orange peel zest, gentle clove spice and soft vanilla. Aberfeldy’s honeyed sweetness threads through, giving richness and a poised, wine-led balance from the Sangiovese casks. Lush and harmonious, with a lingering, refined finish.

Finish

Red-fruit driven finish with lingering ripe cherry, plum and fig, lifted by orange zest, a whisper of clove spice and soft vanilla, fading into honeyed warmth and delicate oak.

Aberfeldy
(aber-FELL-dee) Aberfeldy was built by John Dewar & Sons in 1896 and remains the only distillery constructed by the Dewar family. Set just outside the town of Aberfeldy in Highland Perthshire, it was positioned beside the Pitilie Burn, whose water still feeds the distillery today. Its history also includes a two-year closure from 1917 during the First World War, and a major expansion in 1973 when two new stills were added to double capacity. Aberfeldy later passed into Bacardi’s ownership in 1998 as part of John Dewar & Sons.
