Tasting Notes
Nose
Massive and maritime, peat fires, ash and iodine surge from the glass, while an ex-Moscatel cask lends a subtle spice—gingerbread, apricot and sultana bread—layering warmth into the smoke.
Palate
The palate is equally monstrous - Islay whisky at its vulgarbest with peat smoke, leather and seaweed, all rounded by a hugely fruity cask which adds a luxurious mouthfeel.
Finish
The thick texture adds length to the finish, giving more dried fruit and ash.
