This Whisky hails from the Williamson Distillery in the Islay region. Laid down in a single sherry butt, before a final finishing in an Oloroso cask, this Single Malt was allowed to mature for 7 years.

This big bold Islay Whisky charges out of the glass with notes of coastal smokiness galore; iodine, beach bonfire, harbour rope and tar all abound. The palate brings in a rich backbone of chewy fruits revealing its secondary maturation in ex-sherry wood, and a little water shows a rich, deep smokiness spanning cherries, earthy peat smoke, Demerara sugar and grilled peaches. The texture, combined with powerful character gives an exceptionally long finish with wood smoke and rich fruit cake dancing on the palate.
