This Whisky hails from the Williamson Distillery in the Islay region. Laid down in a single sherry butt, before a final finishing in an Oloroso cask, this Single Malt was allowed to mature for 7 years.
This big bold Islay Whisky charges out of the glass with notes of coastal smokiness galore; iodine, beach bonfire, harbour rope and tar all abound. The palate brings in a rich backbone of chewy fruits revealing its secondary maturation in ex-sherry wood, and a little water shows a rich, deep smokiness spanning cherries, earthy peat smoke, Demerara sugar and grilled peaches. The texture, combined with powerful character gives an exceptionally long finish with wood smoke and rich fruit cake dancing on the palate.

Deep amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany undertone, rich and glowing.
Nose
Coastal smoke leaps from the glass, iodine-tinted air with a beach bonfire note, tar and harbour rope. Briny sea-wind sharpness fuses with a deeper sherry-influenced richness, hinting at the maturation beneath while staying true to Islay’s maritime character.
Palate
Chewy fruit forms a rich, sherry-tinged backbone, with deep coastal smoke weaving through. Cherries, Demerara sugar and grilled peaches meet earthy peat, delivering a velvety texture that carries into a long finish of wood smoke and spiced fruit cake.
Finish
An exceptionally long finish that lingers with wood smoke and coastal peat, while rich fruit cake notes—dark cherries, Demerara sugar, and a kiss of grilled peach—fade into warm, toasted oak.
