A very old bottle of White Horse (Lagavulin) Blended Scotch which as stated on the label was bottled way back in 1939. The bottle, labels and spring cap seal are in almost perfect condition for this nearly 75 year old bottle and the fill level is amazingly high which demonstrates that this bottle has probably been stored correctly throughout it's life.

Colour
Deep amber with mahogany undertones and a warm copper-gold glow.
Nose
Bold peat smoke and maritime brine open the bouquet, softened by vanilla and honeyed toffee. Faint sherry-soaked dried fruits—raisin and fig—nestle with almond and a hint of leather, while a delicate iodine kiss lingers in a refined, old-world finish.
Palate
Velvety and gently peated, this venerable blend coats the palate with coastal smoke and a lush sherried sweetness—raisin, fig, and toffee. Rich barley and oak frame a core of peat, tempered by almond and cocoa. The finish lingers with refined smoke, baking-spice warmth, and a lasting toasted sweetness.
Finish
Spiced peat and gentle smoke linger gracefully, giving way to dried fig and sherry-soaked fruit. Cocoa, vanilla and polished oak weave a silky, long finish that coats the palate, fading to a warm, resinous sweetness and a final whisper of barley.
