Matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon Barrels and then for a period of time in 500 Litre Spanish Sherry Butts, which gives this Tullibardine 500 its name and its its nutty brown colour.

Spicy, with sweeter notes of dark brown sugar and orchard fruits, evoking warm caramel and sun-warmed sweetness.

Palate

Cooked fruit, spice, honey and rich dates and prunes unfold on the palate, delivering a warm, creamy sweetness with a plush, mouth-coating texture.

Finish

Long and creamy, the finish lingers with sweet butterscotch and almond, leaving a velvet warmth that slowly fades into a delicate, nut-kissed sweetness.

Tullibardine
(tully-BAR-din) Tullibardine was founded in 1949 by distillery designer William Delmé-Evans in Blackford, on a site with a much longer brewing history that stretches back to 1488, when King James IV is recorded as having bought beer there. It was the first distillery built in Scotland since 1900, later passed through the hands of Brodie Hepburn and Invergordon, and then fell silent between 1993 and 2003 before returning to production under new ownership.
