A 'mystery' Orkney distillery has been bottled by Elixir distillers as part of the new range of Reserve Cask Single Malts of Scotland bottlings. Produced from a hand selected number of casks (between 4-6) and bottled at 48% ABV. This is a very fresh and citrusy whisky on the nose, with earthiness and minerality and a sublte ash. The palate is fresh, oily, sweet and smokey while the finish is long, sweet, heathery and smokey. Likely to be the most northerly of the Orkney distilleries, this is a classically lighter and fresher whisky that shows off the underlying character of this distillery.

Pale gold with bright straw highlights and a sunlit, delicate glow.
Nose
Very fresh and citrusy on the nose, with earthy undertones, a pronounced mineral spine, and a delicate whisper of ash.
Palate
Fresh and oily on the palate, with a soft sweetness and a persistent, gentle smokiness. The mid-palate delivers citrus brightness and mineral undertones, lightly kissed by ash. The finish is long and sweet, with heathery depth and lingering smoke.
Finish
A long, sweet finish with heathery warmth and a lingering smokey edge.
