Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and mahogany depths.
Nose
Luxurious and aged, the nose blooms with ripe dried fruit—fig, date and raisin—lifting over dark toffee and orange peel. Sherry-soaked richness entwines cocoa, leather, cedar and warm spices, with vanilla-soft oak providing a polished, antique fragrance distinctively Macallan.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied palate with opulent dried fruits—fig, prune and raisin—woven with dark chocolate, orange zest and subtle spice. Notes of polished oak, leather and tobacco emerge, carried by a velvety sherry sweetness into a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long, velvety and sherried, the finish coats the palate with sweet fig and raisin, brightened by orange zest and dark chocolate. Spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through oak tannins, leaving a refined, lingering warmth that speaks of time and rarity.
