Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery glints and a burnished mahogany edge, warm and luminous.
Nose
Opulent sherry notes envelope Macallan's dark fig, plum and raisin, balanced by polished oak and vanilla. Twists of orange zest, almond, and cocoa add brightness, while leather and a hint of spice hint at the whisky’s age.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied, this Macallan lavishly delivers rich dried fruits—fig, raisin and orange zest—layered with brown sugar, dark chocolate and almond paste. Subtle spice, toasted oak and a sherry-driven backbone weave through creamy caramel, finishing long with refined warmth and a hint of leather.
Finish
An extended, refined finish that lingers with rich sherry sweetness: orange zest, dried fig, and dark chocolate unfold as spice threads weave through the fading oak. A silky, lacquered texture coats the palate, fading to a final whisper of toasted almond.
