Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with mahogany depth and a warm copper glow.
Nose
Opulent, sherried bouquet of dark fruits—raisins, figs, and cherries—drifted with orange zest, toffee and cocoa. Subtle spice, leather, cedar and a whisper of aged oak weave through, delivering a refined, plush aroma befitting a 1941 Macallan.
Palate
Silky and richly sherried, the palate offers dried fig and raisin, brightened by orange zest and dark chocolate. Toffee, roasted almond and cedar unfold with espresso, while velvety tannins frame a long finish of cinnamon, clove and refined leather with antique oak.
Finish
An exceptionally lingering finish that seduces with dried fruit and dark chocolate, a whisper of fig and cherry treacly sweetness. Spice notes of clove and cinnamon unfold slowly, tethered to refined oak and a subtle sherry warmth. Velvet, warm and expansive, it fades to a soft, resinous glow, leaving elegant hints of tobacco and leather on the palate.
