Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep copper-amber with warm mahogany-gold highlights.
Nose
Opulent nose of aged oak and deep sherry, with dried fig, date and orange zest. Cocoa, vanilla and toffee weave with cinnamon and nutmeg, while leather and tobacco add a poised, mature note, complemented by espresso and caramel sweetness. Purely elegant, wonderfully complex.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and luxuriously rich, the palate greets with aged sherry fruit: fig, date, raisin and orange zest mingled with dark chocolate and espresso. Spices — cinnamon and clove — weave through toasted oak, cedar and a whisper of leather. Velvety tannins cradle a warm, long finish, leaving molasses, caramel and mineral depth on the tongue.
Finish
An opulent, lingering finish that softens with velvety warmth. Sherry-soaked fruit notes, orange zest and toasted almond give way to cacao, spice and refined oak, lingering with a silky sweetness and a whisper of tobacco.
