This Single Malt’s copper coloured Lalique crystal decanter represents the stills and authenticity which drives the brand through its dedication to innovative methods.

With 100% natural colour, this Single Malt Whisky has unique flavours of pear and white peach, and a smooth mouth feel with a finish of toasted oak.

Nose

Sweet banana, pear and white peach combined with malty biscuit, marshmallow and vanilla with a hint of citrus lemon.

Palate

Pear drops, caramelised banana and sherbet, developing into malt and spiced oak.

Finish

Long, smooth toasted oak.

The Macallan
Macallan was founded by Alexander Reid in 1824 on the Easter Elchies Estate above the River Spey, and it was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to become legally licensed. The name comes from the older place name “Maghellan”, combining the Gaelic magh for fertile ground with a reference to St Fillan, who was associated with the church that once stood on the estate. Easter Elchies House, which remains central to the brand’s identity, dates from around 1700 and still sits at the heart of the estate.
