OK OK so don't shoot us down, this Glen Gordon is only 99% probably a Macallan but regardless it's a great price for a 1957 vintage Single Malt that is around 40 years old.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber, with coppery mahogany undertones.
Nose
A lush sherry-forward bouquet of fig and raisin, with orange zest, candied peel and warming toffee. Hints of vanilla, cinnamon and rich oak add depth, while a whisper of leather and cacao threads through the refined, aged sweetness.
Palate
Silky, medium- to full-bodied on the palate, with sherry-soaked fruit at the core—raisin, fig and candied orange—woven through toasted oak. Rich notes of caramel, almond and dark chocolate ride a spine of spice—nutmeg, clove—while a subtle espresso undertone adds depth. Balanced by gentle sweetness and a touch of liquorice, the finish lingers with dried fruit, citrus zest and warm oak, elegant and enduring.
Finish
An ultra-slow, luxurious finish: velvet and warm, with oak and sherry sweetness threading through dried fig, orange zest and dark chocolate. Subtle spice unwinds into toasted cedar and tobacco, then a refined honeyed warmth lingers, leaving a long, sculpted echo on the palate.
