The 5th release in The Macallan's Edition series, No. 5 pays homage to The Macallan's natural colour. Celebrating The Macallan’s extensive colour spectrum and the intricate whisky making process, the whisky has been produced in partnership with masters at the Pantone Color Institute to create a unique shade of purple that features on the packaging.
The whisky has been matured in American oak casks, before being bottled with100% natural colour and without the use of spirit caramel, at 48.5% abv.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural amber-gold with a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
A warm, inviting nose of vanilla and rich toffee, lifted by oak and spice. Nutmeg and ginger dance with lemon basil, while pear lends a crisp, orchard-fruit brightness, creating a layered, honeyed bouquet that hints at sweetness and subtle oak influence.
Palate
Fresh and sweet on the palate, caramel drifts into poached peaches and ripe pear, followed by a velvety toffee sweetness. Light oak spice—from nutmeg to a whisper of ginger—lends warmth and a delicate, lingering finish.
Finish
Long and sweet, with caramel and toffee lingering alongside vanilla and gentle oak spice; soft notes of nutmeg and ginger subtly fade, leaving a fruity whisper of poached peach and ripe pear.
