Rich tropical fruit, vanilla and caramel sweetness rise from the glass, driven by rum’s warm molasses and spice. Pineapple, banana and dried apricot mingle with coconut, toffee and brown sugar, while toasted oak adds depth. A sun-warmed, dessert-like nose shaped by 32 years in ex-rum casks.
Palate
Silky and opulent, this 32-year-old Irish single malt carries a lush sweetness from ex-rum barrels. Creamy vanilla and toffee weave through ripe pineapple, apricot, and coconut, with hints of brown spice and cocoa. A velvety mid-palate delivers caramelized sugar, balanced oak, and a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long, velvety and inviting, this finish lingers with honeyed sweetness and tropical fruit carried by vanilla and toffee from the ex-rum maturation. A warm rum-spice undercurrent persists, slowly yielding to polished oak and a bright citrus kiss as the memory fades.
