Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep, burnished amber with coppery glints and a touch of mahogany.
Nose
Springbank’s coastal peat and brine rise with a mature sherry glow, as prunes, fig and dried apricot mingle with toasted almond, vanilla and cocoa. Waxed oak echoes the age, while leather and a whisper of tobacco add antique depth to a refined, lingering nose.
Palate
Silky, full-bodied and subtly peaty, this Springbank coats the palate with coastal smoke and sea salt, tempered by rich sherry—raisin, fig and toffee. Layers of dark chocolate, roasted almond and spice deepen the mid-palate, while polished oak and leather underpin the structure. The long, warming finish reveals espresso, subtle iodine, and a refined, old-world complexity.
Finish
An enduring, velvet finish that unfolds with Sherry-soaked depth—fig, raisin and dark chocolate entwined with a delicate peat smoke and a briny whisper. The oak frames a refined sweetness, leaving a warm, persistent fruit and spice echo that slowly dissolves to a polished dryness.
