Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep golden amber with coppery warmth and a subtle sherried glow.

Nose

Fresh barley, orchard fruit, and soft vanilla lead the nose, with ripe apple and pear layered over honeyed malt. Subtle oak, gentle spice, and a restrained whisper of sherry lift the aroma, finishing with citrus zest and a touch of almond.

Palate

Silky and balanced on the palate, Drumguish presents sherried sweetness with orchard fruits and vanilla. Dried fig and raisin mingle with warm spice and soft oak, finishing with toffee, cocoa and a bright citrus lift.

Finish

Medium-length, polished finish that lingers with warm oak and a kiss of sherry sweetness. Subtle spice—cinnamon and clove—drifts through the final coat of malt, leaving a honeyed, refined warmth that invites another sip.

Speyside Distillery
Speyside Distillery was the long-held vision of George Christie, who bought the site in 1962 and spent decades developing it from an old barley mill near Drumguish. Although the buildings were completed in 1987, distillation did not begin until 12 December 1990, giving the distillery a relatively modern start despite its older-looking setting and traditional appearance.
