Tasting Notes
Colour
Natural golden amber with a warm, sunlit glow and honeyed undertones, coppery at the rim.
Nose
Rich sherry-cask perfume envelops the glass: dried figs and prunes, dark raisin, orange zest, and cacao melting into caramel. Underlying maritime breath—salted sea air and a touch of kelp—swirls with polished oak, vanilla, and subtle spice, forging a refined, velvety nose that hints at great depth to follow.
Palate
Silky and full on the palate, this single-cask Scapa carries sherry depth with maritime poise. Dried fig and raisin mingle with orange zest, toasted almond, and dark chocolate, softened by vanilla and gentle spice. A long, warm finish echoes sea-salt and refined oak.
Finish
Long, elegant finish of dried fig and dark chocolate, with toasted almond, a kiss of sherry sweetness and a whisper of spice. Oak and maritime notes linger, tapering to a warm, salted-breeze glow on the palate.
