Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with coppery highlights and a soft mahogany glow.
Nose
Bright sea-salt and heather-laden air mingle with creamy vanilla and citrus zest. Honeyed fruit, almond, and faint toffee rise from polished oak, while muted sherry notes fold in with whispers of dried fig and warm spice, finishing with a delicate, saline sweetness.
Palate
Silky and well-rounded on the palate, this 17-year-old Scapa bears a sherried halo of dried fig, raisin and orange peel, layered over honeyed malt and subtle almond notes. Maritime salt and vanilla creep in, followed by a touch of cocoa and warm spice, finishing long with oak and a whisper of coastal breeze.
Finish
Long, refined finish with salt-kissed maritime notes and ripe orchard fruit, underscored by nutty sherry sweetness. Subtle spice warms the palate as polished oak and dark cocoa linger, a soft, lingering echo of sophistication.
