This Winter Edition of Scallywag was exclusively matured in sherry cask wood, and bottled at natural cask strength. Matured in a combination of Oloroso and Pedro Ximinéz sherry butts, the Scallywag Winter edition displays bold notes of juicy dates, rich toffee sauce and warming spices.

Colour
Dark copper-amber with mahogany depth and a warm ruby glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry on the nose, with juicy dates, dark toffee and rich caramel, shaped by Oloroso and PX. Dried fruits mingle with warming spices, cocoa notes and toasted oak, all carried by bold natural-cask strength.
Palate
Opulent and full-bodied, it coats the palate with syrupy toffee and a lush cascade of dried fruit—juicy dates, fig and plum—woven with dark sherry sweetness. Spices unfurl in a warming blaze of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg, supported by a velvety oak backbone, finishing long and chewy with a peppery, cask-strength glow.
Finish
Long, sherried finish with plush fruit and spice. Juicy dates and raisin-like sweetness meld into rich toffee, while warming cinnamon and clove leave a resonant glow. The finale eases to a velvety oak, lingering with subtle nutty sweetness.
