Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep coppery amber with mahogany depth and a warm sherry-bronze glow.
Nose
Dense peat smoke and medicinal iodine rise from the glass, backed by sherry sweetness. Dried fig and plum mingle with toffee, orange zest, and dark chocolate, while espresso depth adds gravity. Oak, leather, and spice, cinnamon and clove, bring warmth, with a coastal brine undercurrent. At cask strength, the aroma is opulent, bold, smoky, and richly sherry-kissed.
Palate
Powerful, peaty palate with rich sherry sweetness. Thick, oily texture coats the mouth as smoke, char and medicinal peat mingle with dark chocolate, fig, raisin and almond. Hints of orange zest and spice emerge, while the 63.6% ABV provides a warming, peppery lift that lingers into a long, decadent finish.
Finish
Long, warming finish where peat smoke lingers with sherry sweetness. Dried plum and fig, dark chocolate and spice—cinnamon and clove—unfold slowly, while maritime notes taper into a velvety, smoky fade.
