Octomore Super Heavily Peated 14th Annual Release Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky Bundle
In stock
Distilled with quality, not quantity in mind, this 14th annual series continues our journey into the power and potential of the world’s most heavily peated single malt.
An experiment which pushes the boundaries of whisky making, the latest series explores the influence of terroir, cask management and varying peat levels on the final flavour – with each single malt having its own distinct and unique character.
The fundamentals of our own Octomore education, learned and refined over the years, are ever present in this latest release. As with each new series launched in recent years, a range of four Octomore single malts will be available.
The 14.1, the base of the experiment, remains matured in ex-American oak, the 14.2 features European oak, 14.3 is distilled from locally grown Islay barley.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery glow.
Nose
Towering peat smoke dominates the nose, entwined with medicinal iodine and sea-salted brine. Hints of ash and tar drift above a backbone of vanilla-softened oak, while bright citrus zest and coastal minerals weave through. A monumental maritime aroma, poised between raw power and refined sweetness, signaling the extraordinary depth of this ultra-peaty Islay Scotch.
Palate
An immense, oily palate of sea-salted peat and charcoal, edged with medicinal iodine and ash. Rich vanilla and dark cocoa weave with dried fruit and treacle, carried by a bold, peppery bite. The finish lingers with coastal brine, smoke and mineral ash, a powerful, terroir-driven testament to Octomore's super-heavily peated style.
Finish
An immense, lingering finish of peat and sea air. Waves of smoky char, iodine and brine unfold with menacing grace, while subtle vanilla and oak sweetness offer balance. The burn settles into a mineral, maritime echo that slowly recedes, tucking you into a long, velvet peat warmth.
