A super value single cask, independant bottling of Grain whisky from the North British distillery by Copper Monument. A 26 year old single geain matured in a bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength.

Lots of nice cereal flavours with a smooth mouth feel and notes of toffee, caramel and treacle. A long enjoyable finish.

Warm cereal notes open the nose, carried by creamy vanilla and soft oak. Hints of toffee, caramel and treacle mingle with grain sweetness, a gentle bourbon-cask warmth lingering in the aroma.

Palate

Silky, cereal-forward on the palate with a creamy mouthfeel. Toffee, caramel and treacle flow over grainy sweetness, lifted by bourbon-cask depth. A warming, cask-strength glow lingers into a long, generous finish.

Finish

Long, indulgent finish with persistent toffee, caramel and treacle. Soft cereal sweetness lingers on the palate, wrapping a silky warmth in a refined fade that stretches gracefully after the sip.

(North BRI-tish) North British was founded in Edinburgh in 1885 by a group of independent blenders including Andrew Usher, William Sanderson and John M. Crabbie, with production beginning in 1887. The distillery was created to break the grain whisky monopoly held by DCL, which gives it a particularly important place in Scotch whisky history.
