Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden straw, warming to sunlit amber with a subtle copper glow.
Nose
Vanilla and warm biscuit rise, joined by honeyed cereal and creamy toffee. Coconut and almond mingle with citrus zest as gentle oak and bourbon-spice weave through. Grain-soft sweetness hints at a well-kept ex-bourbon cask, with inviting Lowland brightness.
Palate
Silky and creamy on the palate, this North British unfurls vanilla custard, polished oak and toffee with delicate coconut from the ex-bourbon cask. Subtle pear and lemon zest mingle with a soft, spicy sweetness. Mouthfeel is smooth and lightly oily, yielding a long, comforting finish of vanilla, caramel and a whisper of oak.
Finish
Long, velvety finish of vanilla and gentle custard, mingled with toasted oak and citrus zest. The sweetness lingers softly, with a subtle spice warming the palate and fading to a honeyed, oak-dusted finale.
