Distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2023 at 43.2% ABV, this 30-year-old North British is a rare Cask Noir “Adventures Of Burke & Hare” single cask release from Brave New Spirits, drawn from a bourbon barrel (#67629) and yielding around 127 bottles.
Part of an artistic series where each bottling takes inspiration from cinematic themes, this long-aged Lowland grain whisky shows the smooth, mellow nature typical of North British enhanced by extended wood influence.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden amber with sunlit straw highlights, deepening to a copper-tinged edge and a warm, honeyed glow from decades of oak.
Nose
Sweet and almost industrial in character, with a bright aldehydic lift. Coconut macaroons mingle with marzipan, a delicate, waxy grain sweetness lending a refined, well-aged perfume.
Palate
Sweet and nutty (predominantly almonds). Coconut toasties, butterscotch and vanilla shortbread.
Finish
Silky, long finish of almond and coconut sweetness, balanced by vanilla and toffee. A gentle oak kiss carries the warmth into a creamy, dessert-like finale that lingers on the palate, with a soft underpinning of spice.
