A 15 Year Old cask strength miniature of Miltonduff bottled by The Whisky Connoisseur. Pluscarden Valley was an old and rare brand of whisky produced at Miltonduff distillery. The whisky produced by Miltonduff, using the same water source in the same terroir, is regarded to have a very fragrant, oily, fruity character, benefitting from aging in various high quality sherry casks.

Nose
A fragrant, oily bouquet of ripe orchard fruit—apple and pear—lifted with sun-dried raisin and fig. Hints of orange zest and caramel drift through, with sherry-cask influence adding roasted almond, spice, and a regal, velvety warmth that promises depth beneath the intensity.
Palate
Oily and full-bodied, this pours sherry-rich fruit—ripe plum, fig and raisin—with hints of orange zest and toasted almond. Spices rise at cask strength: cinnamon and clove, threaded through vanilla-oak. The texture is lush and velvety, delivering a long, warming finish of dark fruit and cocoa.
Finish
Long, velvety finish saturated with sherry-soaked fruit. Prune and fig mingle with orange zest, cocoa and almond, drifting into gentle spice and toasted oak. A warm, oily farewell that lingers gracefully, leaving a nutty, luxurious echo.
