A 21 year old blended malt whisky released as part of a range of whiskies to celebrate the 1st birthday of the Glenallachie Distillers Company.
These whiskies are a combination of peated Islay malt, peated Speyside malt and older stock of Glenallachie.
The 21 year old has been matured in a mixture of Virgin Oak, Olorosso and Red wine casks. Sweet and peaty on the nose with chocolate, vanilla and honey mixed with dry smoke and hay. The palate has a slightly more savoury start with tobacco and leather giving way to peat and more woody spice. A long finish with vanilla sweetness and waning smokiness.

Colour
Deep copper-amber with a honeyed glow and reddish-gold highlights.
Nose
Sweet and peaty on the nose with chocolate, vanilla and honey, mingled with dry smoke and hay.
Palate
On the palate, a savoury opening of tobacco and leather gives way to bold peat and woody spice. Vanilla and dark chocolate emerge mid-palate, reinforced by subtle sherry- and red-wine influence. The finish is long and elegant, vanilla-sweet with waning smoke, leaving a refined, lingering peat warmth.
Finish
Long and refined, the finish lingers with vanilla sweetness as the peat smoke gradually fades, leaving a warm, woody-spice glow and a whisper of leather.
