Taking inspiration from MacNair’s discovery of the delights of a dram beside a smoky peat fireplace, Master Blender Billy Walker has drawn upon his half century’s experience in blending to develop a recipe fit for a traditional Scottish toast to long life; “Lang may yer lum reek”.
Matured in Spanish sherry casks, wine barriques & virgin oak casks, expect waves of smoke, heather honey and ginger, fusing with cinnamon, treacle and vanilla. Lashings of dark chocolate, ginger and citrus, with smoked spices, plantains and tannins follow on the palate.

Colour
Deep, rich amber with coppery highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
Smoked peat greets the aromas, with warm heather honey and ginger, then unfolds into cinnamon, treacle and vanilla. Subtle sherry- and oak-derived sweetness wraps the aromatic spine, while cocoa-spice and citrus hints linger, inviting a slow, luxurious inhale.
Palate
Bold, sherried depth unfurls with waves of smoke, heather honey and ginger, rounded by cinnamon, treacle and vanilla. Dark chocolate and citrus sparkle through a smoky spice core, as plantain sweetness lingers and generous tannins shape a long, warming finish.
Finish
Long, smoky finish with a warm drift of vanilla and treacle. Peat-laden sweetness lingers beside cinnamon and ginger, while dark chocolate and citrus fade slowly. Smoked spices and oak tannins leave a dry, lasting echo, with a final whisper of plantain.
