Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold sheen and mahogany undertones, a warm, sunlit glow in the glass.
Nose
Rich and expansive on the nose, with polished oak and deep sherry integration: raisined figs and dates mingle with honeyed orchard fruit, pear and apple. A halo of vanilla custard, orange zest and almond paste lifts the sweetness, while leather, spice and a whisper of tobacco lend venerable depth.
Palate
Silky and opulent on the palate, it opens with creamy vanilla, apricot and pear, layered with honeyed fruit and almond. Sherry influence deepens into fig, raisin and orange zest, warmly spiced. The mouthfeel is luxurious and full, with a velvety sweetness, toffee notes and refined oak that carry through a long, balanced finish.
Finish
Sherry-kissed and enduring, the finish unfurls with dried plum and fig, brightened by orange zest and dark cocoa. Toasted oak and spices—cinnamon, clove—linger, warming the palate in a long, refined echo that speaks of decades in cask and the dignified Speyside grace of Longmorn.
