Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich coppery amber with sunlit golden highlights and a faint mahogany edge.
Nose
Opulent nose of orchard fruit—peach and pear—drizzled with honey and vanilla from American oak. Subtle smoke threads through, while a Haut-Médoc claret finish whispers red-berry depth: cassis, blackberry, a hint of cedar. Complex, refined and inviting, with a warm, lingering sweetness.
Palate
Luxuriously round and honeyed, this 22-year Loch Lomond coats the tongue with orchard fruits and vanilla from American Oak. A ripe fruit sweetness unfolds into a soft smoke on the mid-palate, while Haut-Médoc Claret maturation adds red-berry richness, subtle tobacco spice and integrated tannins, finishing long with creamy, toasty notes and a graceful warmth.
Finish
Wine-kissed and enduring, the finish inherits Haut-Médoc claret barriques: dark fruit compote of blackcurrant and plum unfurls, supported by refined oak tannins. A honeyed sweetness glides through, with a soft smoke echoing in the long, warm, velvety finale.
